Door-to-Door Solicitation for Magazines - July 2, 2009

During the week of June 29, several neighbors reported suspicious and brazen behavior of door-to-door solicitors for magazine subscriptions.  Young men in their late teens or early 20s report that they are from the neighborhood and are selling subscriptions as part of a school project to earn money for a group trip abroad.  No one has been able to confirm at this point their family connections in the neighborhood.  Their pushy attitude raised red flags for some, and reports have been made to the Supervisors Office.  :  Door-to-door solicitors should have a permit, so feel free to ask to see it.
